Today: André Volonté, Sales Cast Products
His motto: "Begun is begun" = What you start you will finish. This came about spontaneously on a climbing tour.
Where do you live?I live in Nunningen, in Schwarzbubenland in the canton of Solothurn. That's one of the nicest places for me, among other things because I can quickly get out into nature to do sports. In addition, many of my family members and friends live in the vicinity, which can always lead to spontaneous get-togethers.
What hobbies do you have? I do a lot of different sports in my spare time. From floorball, jogging, padel tennis and cycling to hiking and climbing. In addition, I have been on the board of the floorball club in Nunningen for several years.
What positive aspects can you think of spontaneously during the Corona-related restrictions?
The rapid further development in the digital field is particularly helpful for me personally. For example, for my further training as a sales specialist, which took place entirely via distance learning. This has both advantages and disadvantages. I particularly appreciated the added value in terms of time and the flexibility I gained from not being tied to a specific location. The disadvantage was the lack of personal contact with colleagues and lecturers. Via video meetings, the interpersonal exchange is somewhat limited. The exchange of experiences and the conversations during the breaks, which always provided valuable input in my private and business life, were also missing during the distance learning or in the home office.
How "digital" are you in general?Professionally, I use the digital possibilities wherever possible. In my private life, I try to spend a little less time on social media, because I prefer face-to-face contact much more than "only" online, if the distances are not too far.
What are your favourite apps? Aside from WhatsApp, music and podcast apps are definitely at the top of the ranking. I often listen to music in various styles to motivate me during sports. When I'm in the car, I mainly listen to podcasts about various topics such as crime or history.
