Today: Patrick Bonneau, Customer Service Profile
His motto: DIN = do it now
What job did you do to earn your first money?Catching mice! My grandfather gave me his old mousetraps when I was eight years old. Catching mice was worthwhile for me, because at that time the municipal clerk paid CHF 1 for each field mouse. I saved the money for later.
Where do you live?
I live with my family in Zwingen. In 2010, we had the opportunity to buy a 200-year-old farmhouse, which we converted and renovated in eight intensive months according to our needs. I drew up the construction plans and did the master builder and plasterer work myself. I acquired the knowledge for this during my original craft apprenticeship as a plasterer and project construction manager before my time at Aluminium Laufen. My younger brother drew up and implemented all the electrical planning. During the destruction and renovation work, we were always actively supported by our families, which we were very happy and grateful about.
Which gig do you still remember distinctly?
The live/wire concert in 2015 at the Z7 in Pratteln! live/wire is a true-to-the-original AC/DC tribute band from Basel, founded in 2002. The concert was awesome. To quote Däny (vocals): "Who hasn't heard it, doesn't believe it - who has heard it, can't believe it!" Exactly so. Tip: A next concert will take place next week, again at
Z7 in Pratteln.
What is your favourite app?
Definitely iTunes Music. Because music is simply something fantastic. I like to sing and have been trying to teach myself acoustic guitar for years.
Where will our industry develop?
The metalworking industry will become increasingly digitalised. I don't see any danger in that, but primarily opportunities. For this to happen, the industry has to move with the times, develop further and be open to new things. I'm thinking of the modernisation of machinery, automation in manufacturing and, of course, ERP and online tools that will be helpful for customers as well as employees.
Patrick Bonneau is one of the long-term employees and has experienced milestones of Aluminium Laufen AG at first hand. For example, the construction of the company's own billet foundry (2002), the starting up of the extrusion lines P27 (2006) and P35 (2014) and the continuous development of the ITC infrastructure. He was part of the core project team for the introduction of the ERP software 8 years ago.
Patrick Bonneau is responsible for Customer Service Profiles Germany and Austria. His colleagues, as well as his customers, appreciate his cooperativeness, his many years of knowledge and his way of handling tasks promptly, according to his motto "DIN = do it now".
