Work in progress: Machining plant II

In order to meet the increasing demand for machined aluminium profiles with short delivery times in the future, we are adding space for an additional machining plant.

In order to realise the extension of the current intra-logistics system, a part of the existing hall roof on an area of 700 m2 will be raised from the previous height of 5.7 m to a new height of 8.0 m. The piling was completed last week.

Last week, the piling for this was completed. The 49 piles that have been set transfer high construction loads into deeper soil layers and thus support the future raised hall roof and, of course, the enormous weight of the automatic crane.

After the implementation of the new intra-logistics system in the first quarter of 2022, six to ten machining centres can be supplied automatically - today we already have twelve machining centres in operation at different facilities, the newest one was installed in mid-August.

Patrick Villiger, CEO of Aluminium Laufen AG, adds: "We are continuously expanding our range of services, anticipating customer demands for high-precision machined aluminium profiles with short delivery times and from a single source."
