Today: Leyss Al-Labban, Customer Service ProfilesHis motto: “With a positive attitude, you see more opportunities.”
Leyss, you’ve now been working at Aluminium Laufen AG for almost a year. What do you like best about your job? What I particularly like is that I can take on responsibility and, by finding the right solutions, make a direct contribution to ensuring that our customers receive professional support.
And what do you get up to in your spare time?In my spare time, I like to keep active, for example by going to the gym or spending time with friends and family. This gives me a good balance in everyday life and helps me clear my head.
I also enjoy travelling, good food and I’m interested in topics such as modern technology, AI and psychology. I find it particularly fascinating to see how these fields are constantly evolving and how they influence everyday life, the world of work and the way people interact with one another.
What was the last book you read? I recently read *The 48 Laws of Power* by Robert Greene. The book has been described as a Machiavelli guide for the 21st century and is both a historical and literary treasure trove full of surprising insights. I found it fascinating because it highlights just how important strategy, an understanding of human nature and deliberate action can be, both in professional and a personal contexts. You don’t have to take everything at face value, but it encourages you to understand situations better and act more thoughtfully.
Do you do any voluntary work?I’m not currently involved in any voluntary work. However, I believe that you can make a difference even on a small scale – in everyday life, in your own neighbourhood or wherever help is needed at that moment. What has influenced me most is the realisation that many things in life cannot be taken for granted. When you see how people in other places live under difficult circumstances, you become more grateful for what you have and want to do good as far as you are able.
How ‘digital’ are you in your everyday life? I’d say: quite digital. I like trying out new tools and find it exciting when something makes everyday life easier or saves time. However, I’m not the sort of person who wants to solve everything digitally; sometimes a quick chat is still the quickest and best way.
