Recyclable building materials: aluminium as an example
In the Swiss construction industry, the recycling rate for aluminium stands at over 90%. Recycling itself saves around 95% of the energy required for primary production.
The energy source used in the manufacture of aluminium profiles also plays a crucial role. We offer our customers three different low-carbon alloys. These are not only ideal for the construction industry but also for a wide range of other applications.

Aluminium is characterised by a variety of fundamental material properties that contribute significantly to reducing CO₂ emissions throughout the entire product lifecycle.

Due to its high corrosion resistance and low maintenance requirements, the material is frequently used in building façades, often for periods exceeding 50 years. Furthermore, properties such as its low weight, UV resistance and excellent formability promote the use of aluminium across a wide range of industries, thereby making an important contribution to reducing emissions.
