With our new profile cooling system, we are expanding our range of technological services for high-performance aluminium profiles.

Complex hollow aluminium profiles in particular – with thick walls and high-strength alloys – place the most demanding requirements on the extrusion process. Precisely controlled cooling is crucial here to ensure material strength, ductility and dimensional accuracy.

That is why we are investing in state-of-the-art cooling technology for our largest extrusion plant in Liesberg. This cooling technology further expands our production capabilities and enables us to meet specific customer requirements across a wide range of industries in a targeted manner.

Technological features of water-cooling system:

• Motorised, adjustable nozzle bars with freely adjustable alignment for optimum adaptation to the profile contour
• Multi-zone control system with high-precision proportional pressure control for maximum process accuracy
• Use of air ‘enriched’ with cooling water, which is utilised at high outlet velocity for targeted post-cooling

The first customer orders for automotive applications have already been successfully extruded and delivered.
