The participants got a hands-on experience and an in-depth look at the fascinating world of aluminium processing—right here at our Liesberg site.

Among other things, they learned how the extrusion process is used in practice to produce aluminium profiles, tubes and bars. They also learnt about the gravity diecasting, high pressure diecasting and low pressure diecasting processes and their respective advantages. A tour of the extrusion plant and the foundry rounded off the training programme.
