On the spotlight: 5 personal questions for Ardit Iseini
Around 280 dedicated employees work at Aluminium Laufen AG to produce customised semi-finished castings and extruded products for our customers, among others. Get to know some of them personally - we will introduce you to several colleagues in random order.
Today: Ardit Iseini, Employees CNC Machining
His motto: "Whoever fights can lose, whoever doesn't fight has already lost".

What was your dream job as a child?
Like many boys, I wanted to be either a policeman or a fireman.
After my school days, I worked in the catering industry and worked as a cook for a while. Through my father, who has been working at Aluminium Laufen for 18 years, I found out about the job in machining. I will soon be attending a CNC course, which I am really looking forward to.

What would you do with 1 million francs that someone gave you?
I'm more of a down-to-earth person. I would give most of it away, for example to disadvantaged children, and thus bring joy to other people. I would still go to work every day. It's important to me to have an activity that I enjoy and to have a purpose.
I would maybe have one or two wishes that I would personally fulfil. I say "maybe" because I can't assess whether the fulfilment of these wishes would actually be important to me.

What was your private or professional highlight recently?
You always experience nice things from time to time. I was really pleased to receive a job offer here and to be attending a CNC course soon.

How "digital" are you on the road?
I mainly use my mobile phone privately and do a lot of things on my mobile phone. I only read newspapers online and use social media channels like Facebook, TikTok, etc. And of course, I use Spotify, I like listening to English rap. And every now and then I do concentration and strategy games, At the moment I play Solitaire a lot.

What is your favourite app?
I don't really have a favourite app, I'm sorting it out, less is more.

Ardit Iseini joined us in February 2021 as a temporary employee in the foundry. We are pleased to be able to count him among our permanent employees since 1 October 2021. He processes castings on our CNC machining centers according to customer requirements, such as thread cutting, milling, drilling, deburring, etc.
