Environmental management and efficency

We are aware of the great significance of the ecological use of resources. Therefore, we know our cycle of materials, control and monitor the process and continually analyse it for possible ways to optimise it. Since 2007 we have been certified according to the trusted set of environmental regulations, ISO 14001.

Within the scope of the Energieagentur der Wirtschaft (EnAW) [Energy Agency], we promise to strive for continued reduction of our use of electricity and production of CO2. As a result of our commitment, we are exceeding the goals set in the agreement and are contributing considerably to reaching the goals of the whole industry. Protecting the environment and energy efficiency are our contributions towards a healthy planet.

Our commitment to conserving resources also contributes to the efficient production of aluminium components. Therefore, our customers benefit twice from our environmental achievements, getting the best price to performance ratio, and the ensuring of a long-term working relationship.

Reusing aluminium from the materials cycle uses 95% less energy than extracting it from its natural raw form, bauxite.

In the casthouse, scrap metal is melted down and used as a raw material for new work processes. In our own billet casthouse we can remake the scrap metal that is produced as an unavoidable by-product- leftovers from the press, offcuts, splinters- as well as the customer's waste- into useful material for the pressing lines. In this way we avoid unnecessary transport routes and additional impact on the environment.
