Among other topics, the training participants learned how the extrusion process is used in practice to produce aluminium profiles, tubes and rods. The various profile categories were also discussed and the points to be considered in the construction of aluminium profiles were explained.
Of course, the various alloys were also discussed depending on the particular area of application. Among other things, the "green" alloy Vitral Low Carbon, primary aluminium with a reduced CO2 footprint of 3.8 tCO2eq/tAl, was presented as an example of sustainable resource management and various issues relating to recycling were discussed.
A tour of our extrusion plant with a stopover in tool production rounded off the training.
Many thanks to the enthusiastic participants - it was a great pleasure to give them an insight into the material aluminium and the various production processes.
