4,500 solar panels will be installed on an area of 8,800 m2 and are scheduled to go into operation in the first quarter of 2024. We expect an annual yield of 1.9 gigawatt hours, which corresponds to the electricity requirements of around 550 single-family homes with three people each. We use the solar energy for our own needs.
The solar modules are installed on all the roofs of the foundry and, for the most part, on the roofs of the extrusion plant. The solar modules are slightly raised to enable self-cleaning by rain and to increase efficiency.
We not only produce ready-to-install aluminium components, but soon also solar energy.
