On the spotlight - 5 personal questions for Nicole Spörri

Our employees are the real success factor of our company. As part of the series "5 personal questions to...", we will introduce our colleagues to you in loose order. Get to know some of them!

Today Nicole Spörri, Customer Service Profiles
Her motto: "Just live in the moment".

Nicole, let's take a quick glance at your past: What was your dream job as a child at that time?
My dream was always to become a veterinarian because I like animals very much. As I didn't want to study, however, that wasn't a professional perspective.

Do you have any pets?
I adopted a dog from the animal shelter in August 2021. He is a mixed breed, 5 years old and his name is Jago. Before that I already had a Malinois dog who reached the age of 15. A dog enriches my life, I can't imagine a time without a dog. I have to go out in all weathers, but I stay sporty, and we grow into a team over time. Dogs sense our "vibrations" very precisely when we are stressed or sad. And we can learn a lot from dogs. For example, to learn to live in the moment and not in the past or in the future. We can also learn to have better self-control, using dog training as an example. Because dog training would actually be so easy, only we humans fail at it time and time again because we are not being consistent.

Which famous person would you like to meet?
I would like to meet Reinhold Messner on one occasion. As I love mountains and go to the mountains a lot myself, that would certainly be very interesting. I prefer to hike in Ticino, but also in all other mountain regions in Switzerland. I like to do alpine tours, but I'm not a mountaineer in that sense. For example, on a ski tour we were on the Weisshorn in the canton of Valais. We did not reach the summit at 4,505 metres, but we did get up to 3,500 metres. I really reached my limit at that time, but it was still great. What I particularly like about the mountains is that they radiate a lot of peace and it feels great to reach the summit and to be able to enjoy the wonderful view from there.

How "digital" would you say you are?
Facebook and Instagram are my favourites. But I do not have a favourite app.

And finally, what's the funniest thing you've experienced lately?
Hmm, I'll have to think about that ... my dog makes me laugh every day.

Nicole Spörri joined the Profile customer service team in the summer of 2022 and she is responsible for customers in Western Switzerland and Eastern Switzerland. She particularly appreciates the enjoyable working atmosphere and the helpfulness of her colleagues.
