Jeannine, when and where did you spend your most beautiful holidays?
For me, all holidays are always wonderful and a highlight. Most of the holidays we spend in the Scandinavian countries with our caravan. The furthest we have travelled by camper was in August 2021: In just four and a half days, we drove from our home in the Basel region to the North Cape, a distance of around 3,500 km. There were two reasons for the speedy journey: On the one hand, the vaccination of our dog Oscar was not allowed to be older than 48 hours when entering Finland and Norway. And on the other hand, the weather forecast predicted a sunny day at the North Cape. This was very desirable for us, as we had caught a rainy start to the holiday. And indeed, when we arrived at the North Cape, the sun was shining. So, we enjoyed a breathtakingly panoramic view over the wide sea in glorious weather. The awareness of being at the "northernmost sightseeing point" of Europe was fascinating. The holiday lasted a total of three and a half weeks and the rest of the trip we travelled leisurely.
What would you do with a given million francs?
I don't have to think long: I would buy a house in Sweden with a lot of surrounding land. I really like Sweden. The view into the distance and the wonderful nature there. And the spoken and written language is quite easy to understand compared to Finnish. I’ll maybe even learn the language here in a language class one day. I also like the scenery in Norway and Finland, but Sweden is clearly my favourite.
What do you do at the weekend? I'm often in my garden tending to our vegetable and flower beds. We also go hiking regularly in the Jura, Ticino or the Bernese Oberland and enjoy spending a lot of time in nature with our dog.
Our standard question: How "digital" are you and what is your favourite app?
I have a mobile phone and of course a computer. My favourite app is WhatsApp, because you can use it in many ways,
And finally, what was the best advice you ever got?
"Stay the way you are, believe in yourself, do what your heart tells you is right".
My late mother gave me this advice 35 years ago. I took it to heart and live according to it.
Jeannine Hueber has been with us in Customer Service Profile for exactly one year now, since February 2022, where she is responsible for part of Northwest Switzerland, some regions in Eastern Switzerland and our customers in the Benelux countries. At first, Jeannine was employed as a temporary employee. We were very pleased that she quickly decided to stay with us as a permanent employee. She also appreciates the varied and interesting range of tasks in customer service with "upbeat" colleagues.
