Final sprint: Own solar power plant soon in operation
Only a few more days and our solar power plant will be ready for
operation. 4,500 solar panels have been installed on an area of 8,800 m2.
The solar system was installed on all the roofs of the foundry and on most of the roofs of the extrusion plant and is one of the largest that Planeco GmbH has built in Laufental. We expect an annual yield of 1.9 gigawatt hours, which corresponds to the electricity requirements of around 550 single-family homes with three people each. We use the solar energy for our own needs.
We not only produce ready-to-install aluminium components in Liesberg, but soon also solar energy.
