The new AMK 4 automatic crane is the centrepiece of the new machining
plant II in Liesberg/BL. It is used to transport the extruded profiles
to the new machining centres, either directly or via an intermediate
storage area, without the need for manpower.
The fourth automatic crane of the latest generation is now installed in machining plant II. It supplements the existing unmanned intra-logistics system. In future, up to ten machining centres can be supplied automatically.
The previously cumbersome manoeuvring of the transport baskets is no longer necessary. The advantages are obvious: internal seamless supply of raw profiles, no manual operations between the extrusion press and machining centre II and/or the packaging line, and thus protection against possible handling errors and scratching of the surface. This saves time and money, which in turn benefits our customers.
