I live in Roggenburg/BL on our farm with my wife, our son and my 97-year-old mother - so it's a 3-generation household. I took over the farm from my parents back then, I used to be a full-time farmer. Today we have 13 cows, cattle and calves.

After work, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading the newspaper and occasionally having a glass of wine with my wife. I also like working with wood and making furniture - I have already realised some of my wife's wishes. We also have a large garden with many different kinds of flowers, which needs to be looked after. And last but not least, I take care of the animals before work and of course after work. In any case, I don't get bored.

Of my son and our father/son relationship. When my son, who is now 20 years old, was still a child, he often liked to come with me on the tractor and accompany me to the fields to help out. As a child, he was already very independent and interested in many things. He did an apprenticeship as a chimney sweep and will take over the farm in five years. Of course, I will support him then and help out.

I like to play Forty, a programme for playing cards, on my PC from time to time. Occasionally I use WhatsApp. But I use my mobile phone primarily to make calls.

For example, I use a health app with a pedometer - I average about 24,000 steps a day. Then I regularly use a weather app.
