Now the crane, with a total length of around 60 m, is being fitted. The installation will be completed by the end of this week.
The AMK 4 is the core of the new machining plant II. It is used to transport the extruded profiles to the new machining centres, either directly or via an intermediate storage area, without the need for manpower.
The new automatic crane serves - in addition to the existing 270 storage racks - a further 135 storage bays. Up to 2 tonnes of customer profiles can be stored temporarily per rack. This creates further buffer capacities for the machining and packaging line as well as sufficient space for future developments.
