Insight: Our recycling centre in Liesberg
Since 2002, we have been processing the process scrap generated during
profile production – press residues, off-cuts and customer waste – at
our in-house recycling centre in accordance with specific material
requirements. This on-site recycling reduces transport distances and
saves time.
In our
die-casting foundry, the process scrap is remelted directly. The molten metal produced in this way is used as raw material for the manufacture of new cast components.
👉 Aluminium is fully recyclable without compromising its
material properties. The energy required for recycling amounts to around 5% of that needed for primary aluminium production, enabling significant energy and COâ‚‚ savings.
