Future day at Aluminium Laufen AG

Fourteen children visited our foundry on future day.

Divided into two groups, the girls and boys learned a lot about the work areas at Aluminium Laufen AG.

The first group got to know the different casting techniques and learned that the oldest casting process is sand casting. And this is exactly what the school students tried out now for themselves and casted their own yoyo.

The second group was on the way with the apprentice mechanics Joshua and Mike. The pupils learned a lot about the material aluminium and how often aluminium is used in everyday life, which astonished many. Joshua and Mike also showed how versatile and interesting the profession of a polymechanic is.

After lunch in our company canteen, the group changed programs so that all participants could acquaint themselves with the various job profiles, learn interesting facts about aluminium and cast their own jojos.

We are actively committed to training the next generation in our industry.
